Generally, however, it\u2019s quite simple to<br \/>\nalter the LAX file to allow the launcher to always generate output. This behavior can<br \/>\nthen be changed upon qualification and final release.<\/p>\n<p>To generate debug output:<br \/>\n1. In the InstallAnywhere Advanced Designer, highlight the launcher.<br \/>\n2. Click the Edit Properties button.<br \/>\n3. Alter the values for the following variables:<br \/>\nlax.stderr.redirect= AND lax.stdout.redirect= to be:<br \/>\nlax.stderr.redirect=output.txt AND lax.stdout.redirect=output.txt<br \/>\n4. After a normal installation, edit the .lax file as described in the preceding<br \/>\ninstructions.<br \/>\n5.
