I often get this issues in perforce client
\ncan’t cobbler writable file<\/p>\n

But when do force sync this error go and instead of doing force sync and spending hell lots of time, is there any ways where i can get rids of this and get the latest file in my working location?

\nSolution:<\/p>\n

When we sync the Head Revision We very often get one Info warning that “Can\u2019t clobber writable file”. it\u2019s very easy to force sync in case of less number of files. But when you have list of files this become tedious and time taking to do force sync.<\/p>\n

The main reason for this issues is files under source control were marked as read-only and when a file is checked out or while editing in Editor(Eclipse, VS Studio), then it removes the read-only attribute.<\/p>\n

To solve the issues, marked every file as read-only and get the latest revision without any errors.

p4 client
\nand change the options<\/p>\n

Options: noallwrite clobber compress unlocked nomodtime rmdir<\/p>\n
