For example:<br \/>\n1.\tclick on start<br \/>\n2.\tclick \u201cAll Programs\u201d<br \/>\n3.\tclick on accessories<br \/>\n4.\tright click on \u201cCommand Prompt\u201d icon<br \/>\n5.\tclick \u201cproperties\u201d<br \/>\n6.\tclick on the \u201cshortcut\u201d tab on the top<br \/>\n7.\tclick the advanced button at the bottom<br \/>\n8.\tclick on the check box that says \u201cRun as Administrator\u201d.<br \/>\n9.\tclick OK<br \/>\nWhen you now use the modified shortcut to the command prompt session it will allow you to perform Administrator operations and avoid the error.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>scmuser created the topic: Windows: &#8220;OpenSCManager failed &#8211; Access is denied.
