Our organization is currently at an intermediate stage of the SRE maturity model. We’ve moved beyond reactive firefighting and have implemented basic monitoring and incident response practices, but we are still refining our automation, error budgets, and the use of SLIs/SLOs. We have started defining and tracking SLOs for critical services, and we've automated many operational tasks, but we’re working on expanding automation for incident response and root cause analysis. Error budgets are being introduced in certain areas to balance reliability with development velocity. Our next steps to advance further include focusing on reducing toil by automating more aspects of incident management, improving postmortem processes to foster continuous learning, and tightening the integration of SLOs and error budgets across all services. Additionally, we’re investing in better observability and tools to allow real-time tracking of system health, with the goal of achieving a fully automated and reliability-driven approach to engineering.
