In our organization, DevSecOps adds significant value by integrating security practices directly into the DevOps pipeline, ensuring that security is prioritized throughout the development lifecycle rather than as an afterthought. While DevOps improves collaboration and automation between development and operations, DevSecOps takes it a step further by shifting security left, identifying vulnerabilities early through automated security testing, code analysis, and continuous monitoring in the CI/CD pipeline. This proactive approach reduces risks, improves compliance, and avoids costly remediation later in the process. Compared to traditional DevOps, where security is often addressed at the end, DevSecOps fosters a shared responsibility for security across all teams from the outset, making it essential in today’s complex threat landscape. This integrated approach ensures a more efficient, secure, and resilient software delivery pipeline, which is crucial for both speed and security.
