List of Commands

Sub Category Name
head - Returns the first N number of specified results in search order. This means the most recent N events for a historical search, or the first N captured events for a real-time search.
top - Finds the most common values for the fields in the field list. Calculates a count and a percentage of the frequency the values occur in the events.
rare - Displays the least common values of a field.
dedup - Removes the events that contain an identical combination of values for the fields that you specify.
fields - Keeps or removes fields from search results based on the field list criteria.
table - The table command returns a table that is formed by only the fields that you specify in the arguments.
stats - Calculates aggregate statistics,such as average, count, and sum, over the results set.
sort - The sort command sorts all of the results by the specified fields.
chart - The chart command is a transforming command that returns your results in a table format. The results can then be used to display the data as a chart, such as a column, line, area, or pie chart.
eval - The eval command calculates an expression and puts the resulting value into a search results field.
