
To generate a personal access token in GitHub:
- Go to the settings page of your GitHub account.
- Select “Developer settings” from the menu on the left.
- Select “Personal access tokens” from the submenu.
- Click the “Generate new token” button.
- Give your token a descriptive name and select the scope of access you want the token to have.
- Click the “Generate token” button.
- Make sure to save the token somewhere safe, as it will not be shown again after you leave the page.
