# los angeles
AWS training in Los Angeles is taken mostly by software engineers moving into platform or infrastructure work and System administrators migrating on-premises workloads to the cloud. Sessions run live online in PT (UTC−8), or onsite at your office — there is no Los Angeles classroom. Teams here often pair it with our Agile and Agile training, and a corporate batch can cover more than one in a single engagement. Los Angeles has a technology profile shaped by media, entertainment and aerospace rather than by enterprise software, and the workloads reflect it. Large media pipelines, rendering and transcoding at scale, and content delivery dominate — which means cost profiles driven by storage and egress rather than compute, and performance problems that are about throughput rather than latency. The aerospace and defence presence adds the opposite constraint: long lifecycles, strict supply-chain requirements and environments that cannot simply be rebuilt from a public registry. We do not run a classroom in Los Angeles. Batches are live online, and the offset from IST is the largest we work with, so most learners here use recordings plus mentor hours in Pacific time. Corporate cohorts run inside your own hours and are invoiced in USD.

# the subject
AWS is Amazon's cloud platform: a few hundred services layered over regions and availability zones, of which a working engineer touches perhaps twenty. The ones that matter are the primitives everything else is built on — IAM for identity and permission boundaries, VPC for network isolation and routing, EC2 and EBS for compute and block storage, S3 for object storage and lifecycle, RDS and DynamoDB for managed data, CloudWatch and CloudTrail for telemetry and audit, and CloudFormation or Terraform to declare all of it as code. The difficulty in AWS is rarely a single service. It is knowing which of four services solves your problem, what it costs at scale, and how to keep an account estate secure and auditable once more than one team is deploying into it.
Cloud spend has moved from growth budgets to scrutinised budgets, and that changed what employers ask for. The demand is no longer for people who can launch resources but for people who can size them, tag them, put guardrails around them and explain the bill. Regulated industries that spent years on private infrastructure are migrating now, which puts a premium on engineers who can evidence encryption, least privilege and audit trails rather than just describe them.

# questions
No. We do not have a training centre in Los Angeles, and we would rather say so than let you plan a commute. Batches here run live online, or onsite at your own office for corporate cohorts. Our two classrooms are in Bengaluru and Hyderabad.
Our instructors teach from India, so sessions are converted into PT (UTC−8) on the batch table above rather than quoted in IST. The weekday cohort lands more conveniently for Los Angeles than the weekend one, and every session is recorded the same day. For a corporate batch we schedule entirely inside PT (UTC−8) working hours instead.
The curriculum is the same everywhere — it is the same course, and pretending otherwise would be dishonest. What changes for Los Angeles is delivery: the batch times are set for PT (UTC−8), fees are shown in USD, and delivery is live online or onsite at your office rather than in a classroom. The examples our instructors reach for also tend to follow what Los Angeles teams actually run.
No, and that is deliberate. You build the labs on your own free-tier account, and we walk through the setup and the cost guardrails in week one. A sandbox that expires when the course ends teaches you nothing you keep; your own environment does.
Every session is recorded and available in the LMS the same day, and you keep access for a year. You can also sit the missed session again with the next cohort at no extra cost.
Comfortable on a Linux shell — files, processes, permissions, SSH; Basic networking — IP addressing, subnets, DNS, TCP ports; Any one scripting or programming language. If you are unsure whether you are ready, tell us what you work on now and we will give you a straight answer rather than a sales one.
You get an industry-recognised DevOpsSchool certificate after the three-hour open-book exam. Most people find the capstone repositories carry more weight in an interview than the certificate itself, which is why the labs are built to be shown.
Yes. We build the agenda from your stack after a discovery call and drop anything your team already runs in production. Teams of 8 to 30 work best; larger groups split into parallel batches.
If we cancel or postpone a cohort and you decline the rescheduled session, you get a full refund within 15 days. We do not offer a general money-back guarantee, and taxes and gateway fees are not refunded.
No. The fee is charged once at enrolment. Where we show a monthly figure it is arithmetic to help you size the cost against a budget, not a payment plan.
