Windows Installer error

I am running Windows Vista i believe 64 bit version. I am having problems trying to install iTunes onto my computer. I keep getting an error message stating that I am either in “Safe Mode” or that Windows Installer has not been installed properly. I also have been having problems saying that I am not the administrator and need to change that as well. Can any one help me out here. I have tried Dell’s forum but they are not any help what so ever. On top of that I have an important windows update that needs to be installed that wont because I keep getting an error with that as well. Right now I am thinking that Dell is not quite as good as I thought that they were. I might have to stick with HP where I can get a good comp and good support at the same time.

Hello,
i installed a program and when i try open it it goes back to window installer again a trys reinstall program again.
i try to get a new version of window installer still same problem. i try clicking on icon same problem. i completed uninstalled this program. i try to install this program and unstall 5 time. am fustrated. anyone can help?Thanks
