Jira training in Pune is taken mostly by Team leads and scrum masters configuring projects and engineers who need to get data out of Jira. Sessions run live online in IST (UTC+5:30), or onsite at your office — there is no Pune classroom. Teams here often pair it with our Ansible and Artifactory training, and a corporate batch can cover more than one in a single engagement. Pune's work splits along two lines that rarely meet. Hinjawadi and Talawade are dominated by services and engineering-services firms delivering into a client's environment, where the constraint is not what you would build but what you are permitted to touch — read-only access, a ticket for every change, and a platform somebody else designed. Training that assumes admin rights is useless there, so Pune cohorts spend more time on least-privilege patterns and on reading someone else's configuration than a product-company cohort would. The other line runs through Kharadi, Magarpatta and Baner: captive centres and product teams who do own their systems, and increasingly own the budget with it. Automotive and industrial engineering has a strong presence here, which brings workloads that are unusual elsewhere in India — long-running simulation jobs, telematics pipelines, and cost questions that never arise in a web-application context. There is no DevOpsSchool classroom in Pune. Sessions run live online in IST, or onsite at your office in Hinjawadi or Kharadi for corporate cohorts, which is how most Pune teams take it.

What is Jira?
Jira tracks work items through configurable workflows. The concepts that matter are the issue type scheme, the workflow that governs which transitions are legal, the permission and notification schemes that decide who can do what, and JQL, which is how you get answers out of it. Boards, sprints and reports sit on top of those. Jira's difficulty is organisational rather than technical. A workflow with fifteen states nobody honours, or a board that does not reflect how the team actually works, produces worse information than no tool at all. Most of the skill is in configuring less than you are tempted to.
Why it's in demand now
Nearly every engineering organisation runs Jira, and nearly every one has an instance that has accumulated a decade of well-meant customisation. The people in demand are those who can simplify it — reduce workflows, fix reporting that lies, and connect it to the delivery pipeline so status updates itself rather than being typed in.

Frequently asked questions
Do you run classroom batches in Pune?
No. We do not have a training centre in Pune, and we would rather say so than let you plan a commute. Batches here run live online, or onsite at your own office for corporate cohorts. Our two classrooms are in Bengaluru and Hyderabad.
What time do the sessions run in Pune?
Sessions run in IST (UTC+5:30), which is local time for you: the weekend cohort at 10:00–13:00 on Saturday and Sunday, and the weekday cohort at 20:00–22:00 on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Most Pune learners take the weekend batch because it does not collide with a release window.
Where do your Pune learners usually travel from?
Most Pune attendees work in Hinjawadi Phase 1–3, Magarpatta City, Kharadi / EON IT Park, Baner–Balewadi, Viman Nagar, Yerawada or Talawade. We mention it because there is no Pune classroom to travel to: batches run live online, and for corporate cohorts we come to your office in whichever of those areas you are in.
Is the Jira content different for Pune?
The curriculum is the same everywhere — it is the same course, and pretending otherwise would be dishonest. What changes for Pune is delivery: the batch times are set for IST (UTC+5:30), fees are shown in INR, and delivery is live online or onsite at your office rather than in a classroom. The examples our instructors reach for also tend to follow what Pune teams actually run.
Do you provide a lab environment for Jira?
No, and that is deliberate. You build the labs on your own free-tier account, and we walk through the setup and the cost guardrails in week one. A sandbox that expires when the course ends teaches you nothing you keep; your own environment does.
What if I miss a session?
Every session is recorded and available in the LMS the same day, and you keep access for a year. You can also sit the missed session again with the next cohort at no extra cost.
What do I need to know before starting Jira?
Any exposure to issue tracking; Understanding of how your team plans work; Access to a Jira instance; a free cloud one is enough. If you are unsure whether you are ready, tell us what you work on now and we will give you a straight answer rather than a sales one.
Is there a certificate, and is it worth anything?
You get an industry-recognised DevOpsSchool certificate after the three-hour open-book exam. Most people find the capstone repositories carry more weight in an interview than the certificate itself, which is why the labs are built to be shown.
Can you run Jira as a private batch for our team?
Yes. We build the agenda from your stack after a discovery call and drop anything your team already runs in production. Teams of 8 to 30 work best; larger groups split into parallel batches.
What is your refund policy?
If we cancel or postpone a cohort and you decline the rescheduled session, you get a full refund within 15 days. We do not offer a general money-back guarantee, and taxes and gateway fees are not refunded.
