About this certification

The Dynatrace Master Certification is a journey that leads to industry recognition of your current skills, competencies, and experience. To become certified as a Dynatrace Master in a defined platform, you will need to demonstrate that you are a true master of the entire platform, from the design, execution, and troubleshooting of an installation of the platform, through the use of the platform in a sophisticated set of application problem scenarios. 

Prerequisites

  • Pass and maintain Professional Certification status during the Master Certification process. i.e. you must have a current and valid Professional certification to apply.
  • Have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Application Performance industry
  • Have demonstrated competency in all phases of the design, installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and use of platform
  • Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience using the Dynatrace platform in a live, working environment
  • Have participated in several platform-related use cases that can be captured as case studies demonstrating significant wins or return on investment
  • Have actively participated in the Dynatrace forums, blogs, webinars, and training sessions, providing guidance and solutions to others.
  • You should be able to give an in-depth explanation of: Multi-node Managed Cluster implementations, ActiveGates, Managed Offline, Mission Control, OneAgent, RUM (Agent/Agentless/Mobile), Extending Dynatrace (Plugins/SDK/OpenKit), APIs, PurePaths, Services, Problems, User Sessions, Multiple Cloud Platforms, and many other topics

Preparation

1.     Download the Master Application from this page and be sure to fully review all information and instructions.

2.     Review the “Application & Prerequisites” found in the application. Pay special attention to the prerequisites for becoming a Master, specifically noting:

·       You must have a valid Professional Certification for initial application as a Master.

·       Your application should detail how you have kept up to date with Dynatrace and demonstrate that you have participated in at least three of the activities listed in the application.

3.     Community or public participation with Dynatrace is very important when becoming a Dynatrace Master. Your application should demonstrate that you have been active within the Dynatrace Community, providing solutions and assistance to others. 4.     Fill out the application and email it to the address found in the application. Be sure to include any supporting materials that showcase your expertise.
