The assignments provide a structured way to practice OpenShift concepts, but one aspect that could make them more valuable is incorporating troubleshooting and failure scenarios. In real environments, engineers spend a significant amount of time diagnosing failed builds, misconfigured routes, storage issues, RBAC problems, and unhealthy pods rather than following predefined deployment steps. Adding exercises focused on debugging, recovering from misconfigurations, and validating deployments against production-like requirements would help learners build the problem-solving skills needed for day-to-day OpenShift operations and certification-style assessments.
