I am having problems with my computer trying to access Windows Installer. It keeps saying that it is not able to access it. I am also getting an important update that I keep trying to install; KB951847 titled Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 and .NET Framework 3.5 Family Update. It wont install and keeps giving me error code 643, I have tried to look up that code, but can not find anything on it. Can any one please help me out here…it is starting to get really annoying and I am getting to the point that I am looking at replacing my computer and never buying a Dell ever again.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but replacing your computer with a non-Dell machine won’t prevent something like this from happening again (unless it’s a Mac or you run Linux on it) as this is a Windows issue. What were you trying to install when you got the message that Windows Installer could not be accessed? You might want to start troubleshooting with this.
